Jaime Lima advises European companies on legal and regulatory complexity in Brazil and Latin America. He brings direct experience in the raw materials and energy sectors and multi-jurisdictional corporate structuring in large organisations across Latin America and Europe. He holds an LLM in International and European Law, is admitted to the OAB/SP and the Dutch NJV, and currently lectures in Comparative Corporate and Private Law at The Hague University of Applied Sciences.

Sandra Nóbrega is a lecturer and researcher in Environmental Law at The Hague University of Applied Sciences and holds a PhD from Maastricht University. Brazilian-born and Rotterdam-based, she brings specialist expertise in ESG regulation, carbon markets, environmental licensing and sustainability compliance across Brazil and Latin America — the precise intersection where European companies most need guidance under the CSRD and related EU frameworks.

The Name
The practice is inspired by the memory of Joaquim Nabuco (1849–1910), Brazil's foremost diplomat, abolitionist, and Pan-Americanist. A man who operated fluently between Brazil, Europe, and the United States with one consistent spirit. Lawyer, statesman, writer, and the most cosmopolitan of Brazilians.
Nabuco spent years in London and Washington as Brazil's Ambassador, arguing Brazil's case before foreign audiences with authority and elegance. He understood, better than almost anyone of his era, that the world is navigated not by those who stay in one place, but by those who can move between worlds without losing themselves in any of them.
The name is a deliberate homage.
